What We're All About

As a school of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, the College at Southeastern seeks to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by equipping students to serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Offering undergraduate associate and bachelor's degrees, the college integrates faith and learning by providing an education rich in biblical studies, theology and the liberal arts.

At Southeastern, we recognize that life as a disciple of Jesus Christ means that faith is lived in all of life. We are not a Christian college simply because we pray during class or because we read and memorize Scripture. Prayer and God's Word permeate everything we do, and Southeastern students study many different disciplines with the same goal in mind. Whether they study philosophy or history, literature or music, logic or rhetoric, we want our students to see the glory of God in His creation and to trace the hand of God throughout human history and discovery. Faith and learning are not two distinct matters; rather, genuine faith is a learning faith and genuine learning is faithful learning.
